2025 Inktober Alternative With Cats

Inktober is going to happen so fast! I hope everyone is ready for another fun year. If you’re here you’re probably like me and have never really enjoyed the normal Inktober prompts. Personally I feel like you need more direction and maybe that’s just the way my brain works. Anyways, I created a fun Catober prompt last year and it was so much fun that I had to create one for this year, the 2025 Catober prompt or call it the 2025 Inktober alternative prompt whatever fancies your boat.

What is Inktober?

What is Inktober anyways? Inktober is an art challenge for anyone who wants to practice and draw daily. The purpose is to draw all your drawings in ink but I like the idea of folks using their favorite mediums instead.

Why join? Joining an art challenge is so fun and exciting to see what others are creating, it’s joining the art community as we all work through our art ideas and styles. It’s also a great way to keep yourself accountable. I’ve only fully completed Inktober twice now, some years I’ve done a few drawings and others I go half-ways, then life happens but this year I’m going for another finish.

Catober Drawing Challenge

The rules are simple for this drawing challenge, you will draw each prompt per day and it must include a cat somewhere. Some of the prompts are very specific and others are a little bit more free for your imagination. You can use any medium from pencil, digital illustrations, paint or ink. The only thing that is not allowed is the use of AI of any sort, let’s bring our imaginations to life.

This was my 2024 Inktober prompt with a few of my favorite illustrations from last year. I am excited for this year. There are some fun ones! Make sure to add the Catober prompt as your second image and tag #Catober2025.
